Penn-Cumberland Garden Club usually meets on the third Monday of each month, September through June.  Meetings include a brief business meeting and an educational program.  Special luncheons and other events are held at other times and venues.  Please call 717-938-1994 for more information.

Program:  “Not a Creature Was Stirring…Except the Decorator!”  by Michael O’Neill, AAF AIFD PCFI

Michael O’Neill has operated a flower shop at Forest City, PA for 35 years.  In 1992, he won Teleflora’s Design American Competition and represented the United States at Floriade, the Teleflora International Design Competition in Holland.  A past National President of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), Mr. O’Neill has presented floral designs for the organization’s national symposium and chaired its exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower Show in 1997 and 2001, as well as making frequent contributions to the AIFD exhibit as recently as this year.  Other accomplishments include authoring a course in floral design for Thonpson Direct Learning, and teaching floral design in Taiwan.  We look forward to Michael O’Neill’s program.

Patricia Bilson will present a program on the art of arranging flowers in the Modern Design.  She is a National Garden Club Master Flower Show judge, American Rose Society Horticulture and Arrangement Judge, American Rose Society Mater Rosarian and is instructor for Roses and Design in two night schools.  In addition, she is president of the Philadelphia Rose Society and a member of The Garden Club of Bala Cynwyd.
